Sending and managing to-do actions

In some cases you want to send a to-do action for another user (e.g. “Please review update frequency for Report XYZ.”) without invoking a full process. You simply want to create a specific task for a specific stakeholder, and follow up easily.

This solution is delivered as a workflow for sending to-do actions to other users. When invoked it will ask for a to-do title and description, a due date, and an assignee that will receive the to-do. When submitted it will create a to-do task for the assignee with the specified due date. The assignee now has to complete the task before the workflow will continue. If the assignee mark the to-do as “Not done” the requester will be informed. All steps will be logged in the audit trail.
