Overview

In many cases, consumers (readers) of content in Collibra only want to see the last approved version. It might be that various stewards and stakeholders are already changing the definition of a certain business term, or the parent / child relations in a certain hierarchy, but you want only the stewards to be able to see these changes. The rest of the users should see the definition or hierarchy as it was approved upon. When changes applied to the draft asset are submitted for approval, the reviewers should be presented with the changes they need to vote on. When the new version is approved, that version becomes visible for everyone.

In summary, you want to control the publication of various assets.

In practice, you want to have a draft version of an asset that is only visible to the relevant stewards and stakeholders, and a published version of an asset that is visible to everyone.
