Overview

Collibra Data Lineage allows you to trace how your data flows from system to system, with complete, end-to-end lineage visualization.

Collibra Data Lineage includes over 30 Out-Of-The-Box automated lineage scanners covering various SQL dialects, ETL and BI tools. The scanners automatically extract lineage at an attribute level including transformation details. In combination with operating system scheduling, scanners can execute periodic scans to refresh lineage and transformations. For an accurate view of the latest supported sources via harvester and Edge, please check our documentation.

For business users, a business lineage view is available in Collibra Catalog. More advanced users can explore a technical lineage view which includes details such as staging and temporary tables in addition to the transformation code.

Release Notes

Collibra Data Lineage requires the installation of a standalone application. This application must be installed and configured on customer infrastructure with access to supported data sources (listed above). The Application can be downloaded from the Collibra Product Resource Center.

Successful execution of the application will automatically build technical lineage against the defined data sources. This information will be presented as a diagram displayed in a separate tab in Collibra Catalog under “Technical Lineage”. A license must be purchased prior to using Collibra Data Lineage.
