Paginated Reports Collibra Integration – Easy Connections

Easy Connections is an Expleo’s integration platform which runs on Customer’s environment to integrate various source systems to Collibra.

Paginated Report Connector runs on top of this Easy Connections platform to integrate metadata, lineage to datasets, and user permissions to reports and folder/workspaces into Collibra Platform.

Use Case(s)

• Traceability/Lineage – provide the ability to trace the provenance of a report attribute to its source
• Report Certification
• Ability to do an impact analysis of changes in the data sources on the downstream Power BI reports that consume data from these sources

Expleo’s Collibra-Paginated Report Integration ingests the following metadata into Collibra:

• Support from extracting and loading Paginated reports metadata from Power BI Report Service (cloud), including Workspaces, Apps**, and supports both Service Account and Service Principal authentication mechanisms.
• Support for extracting and loading the following metadata from Paginated reports into Collibra: Folder, Report, Report Objects, Report Attributes, Expressions (if relevant) & Data Source (with connection details).
• Lineage from Report attribute to the physical fields/columns
• Linkage to physical layer i.e., relational databases and files, used as source for the report loaded using Collibra EDGE
• For Power BI Service, the asset extraction can be filtered based on Workspace, Dashboard and Report 
• For Power BI Report server, the asset extraction can be filtered based on Folder and Report
