Overview

Expleo’s Collibra-Cognos integration ingests the following Cognos metadata into Collibra:

  • Cognos Reports, Report Layouts, Report attributes, Report Filters and Sorts
  • Cognos Dashboards
  • Cognos Data Modules
  • Query Subjects and Query Items
  • Framework Manager model elements
  • PowerPlay Transformer cubes
  • Dynamic cubes
  • Relation from the Cognos metadata to the physical data sources captured from Cognos is loaded. The actual metadata of these data sources must be separately loaded using Collibra Catalog(ingested using Job server only) or Expleo’s database integrations
  • Support for Cognos Folder, Folder Shortcuts, Package and Data source assets
  • Support for Data Modules as sources for Cognos reports
  • SQL Queries used in the Report Query are populated as an attachment to the respective Query Subject asset
  • Add on: Security Information (users and permissions)

The integration is offered on an annual subscription basis in 2 editions – Standard and Advanced. A free trial subscription is also available.
