For this specific integration (and all other Custom Integrations listed on the Collibra Marketplace), please read the following disclaimer:

  • This integration is a template that has been developed in cooperation with a few select clients based on their custom use cases and business needs.
  • While all effort has been made to encompass a range of typical usage scenarios, specific needs beyond this may require chargeable template customization.
  • With this in mind, we have made sure that the template is available as source code and readily modifiable to suit the client's particular use case.

Secure Data Sharing enables sharing selected objects in a database in your account with other Snowflake accounts. The following Snowflake database objects can be shared:

  • Tables

  • External tables

  • Secure views

  • Secure materialized views

  • Secure UDFs

Snowflake enables the sharing of databases through shares, which are created by data providers and “imported” by data consumers.

Note: All database objects shared between accounts are read-only (i.e. the objects cannot be modified or deleted, including adding or modifying table data).

For more details, see How Data Sharing Works?

This integration will help automating the management of Snowflake Data Sharing through Collibra automated business processes and the Spring Boot application provided in this template.

Use Cases

  • As the data steward and data provider, I want to create Share where one/all tables are added individually or added from a Data Set.

  • As the data steward and data provider, I want to remove one/all tables are removed individually from a Share.

  • As the data steward and data provider, I want to grant Share access to a given data consumer.

  • As the data steward and data provider, I want to revoked access given to a data consumer from a Share.

  • As the data steward and data provider, I want to delete Share after removing all tables and revoked all granted access.
