JDBC Driver for AWS Lake Formation
Overview
The AWS Lake Formation JDBC driver leverages the Amazon Athena JDBC driver and can be used in Collibra Catalog in the section ‘Collibra provided drivers’ to register AWS sources like Amazon S3 that have been cataloged in AWS Lake Formation. By leveraging this driver and setting the MetadataDiscoveryMethod connection property to Lake Formation, Collibra Catalog will be able to register metadata from Lake Formation which in turn represents the database information form other AWS service like Amazon S3 and extract the structure of the source into its schemas, tables and columns.
