Overview

“Collibra Supported Third Party (CSTP) Offerings” are offerings created by independent third party developers (Independent Developers) and made available by Collibra via Collibra Marketplace. Use of CSTP Offerings may be subject to additional fees charged by Collibra, in addition to any which may be imposed by the applicable Independent Developers.  Your use and purchase (if applicable) of CSTP Offerings are subject to (a) the terms and conditions referenced on or via link within the CSTP Offering listing, or (b) if such terms and conditions are not referenced via the listing, then the Collibra Marketplace License Agreement.  Your master commercial agreement with Collibra for the Collibra Service DOES NOT apply to your use of CSTP Offerings (including any warranties, support services and service levels referenced therein).  However, Collibra does provide reasonable first and secondary support to customers of the Collibra Service for CSTP Offerings in accordance with our Support Policy, it being understood that any target resolution times referenced therein do not apply to CSTP Offerings.

Warning: 

This driver is not downloadable from a public website. You will need to retrieve the JDBC Driver available as part of your Netezza server installation. The JDBC driver can be copied from your Netezza database server, the JAR file is typically located in /kit/sbin/nzjdbc3.jar (For example, /nz/kit/sbin/nzjdbc3.jar).

This Netezza JDBC driver is provided by Netezza and can be used in Collibra Catalog.

To register Netezza-provided sources, use the section ‘Collibra provided drivers’ in Collibra Catalog. Leveraging this driver, Collibra Catalog will be able to register database information and extract the structure of the source into its schemas, tables and columns.

JDBC drivers can retrieve the following database components:

    • Schemas
    • Tables
    • Views
    • Columns
    • Primary keys
    • Foreign keys

Release Notes

The driver has been certified with the username/password authentication for the following:

  • Ingestion of technical metadata from the source.
  • Profiling of the registered data source and calculation of statistics that describe the data.

Data Profiling is not supported for tables with columns of National Character types (NVARCHAR and NCHAR).
Profiling of such tables will fail with an error as follows:
Table 'XXX' profiling/sampling was skipped for an unknown reason. Please check jobServer logs for more details.

Within the JobServer logfile the following detailed error:

job.catalog.DataSourceReader$ - SQLException trying to read table XXX: org.netezza.error.NzFeatureNotSupportedException: netezza.feature.not.supported
