Attribute-Based Access Control for Collibra & Analytics Applications

A Government Customer has chosen Collibra for its superior data catalog. Having Collibra deployed in a sensitive environment with restricted data sources imposed enhancing the Collibra Role Based Access Control (RBAC) into a fine-grained Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) while providing fine- grained auditing and segregation of Duties for administrative functions. Enhancing Collibra security and RBAC as well as nearby analytics applications was performed by deploying SecuPi on the Collibra server with no code changes to Collibra. The SecuPi solution governs all ways to data through its capability for dynamic Attribute-based Access Control (ABAC). With SecuPi, it is highly tailorable to apply result- set filtering based on any condition, and to prevent access to sensitive data using dynamic masking, FPE encryption or blocking based on context defined SecuPi technology works across a very wide range of IT technologies enabling support for the disparate IT environments of state organizatons. SecuPi is linearly scalable - Simply add Policy Enforcement Points (PEPs) to any new DBA workstations, applications, middleware ETL servers and data repositories, and they will be automatically enrolled and synchronized with SecuPi Management Server. The distributed nature of SecuPi architecture supports mass scalability, as well as high- availability and resiliency.
