Encrypted Properties & Two-way SSL
The purpose of this pattern is to provide a reference implementation for (1) encryption of configuration properties, such as user credentials and server IP addresses, as well as (2) setting up a two-way SSL authentication between the server and the clients, involved in an integration flow. The need for encryption can arise from corporate security policy, industry compliance requirement, or tighter protection measures in general. For example, the DGC connector username and password may need to be encrypted when being stored on the server. Two-way SSL authentication is also sometimes required per corporate security policies.
